The most annoying instrument gets an awesome song!

I will be at camp this week, so you won't hear back from me till mabye saturday or sunday. TTYL MTC

I know I should have done this sooner, but hey, you still can celebrate the brazilian fathers day the second sunday in august! So I decided to gather some awesome ideas for fathers day. Of course I went to Martha stewart .com I found that she covered a bottle of hot sauce to say NO.1 DAD(See image below!), I thought that was pretty cool since my dad is very fond (he puts it on EVERYTHING) of Hot Sauce. (Click link to see HOW to make it)

Then I wanted to find an awesome card, so I found this cute shirt card on FamilyFun http://familyfun.go.com/fathers-day/fathers-day-crafts/fathers-day-cards/formal-greetings-668464/ which I made for my dad last year. He loved it!

I was on Etsy and found a story about the Dad's on Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/storque/handmade-life/fathers-and-sons-the-men-of-etsy-team-shares-inspiration-8773/?ref=fp_article_title

room redo

I was watching
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWXh21WJ0ko , and she inspired me to redo my room, or at least think about redoing it. So I looked up bedspreads on target.com and found the cutest one yet, (see image above) Or take a look back at my old room post http://lasgirl.blogspot.com/2010/03/kids-rooms-on-budget-our-10-favorites.html I was thinking of doing that bedspread, this mirror

and these Wire letters http://www.pbteen.com/products/wire-wall-letters/?pkey=x%7C4%7C1%7C%7C6%7Cwire%20letters%7C%7C0&cm_src=SCH and create a one of a kind paint chip sample artwork. How is it going to work? You'll see!
MTC (more to come)

And I was going to use these wire letters, above my desk, they hold pictures, paper, and alot of other things.

I also recently posted this post http://lasgirl.blogspot.com/2010/07/cutest-room.html

Craving ice cream? No ice cream? can't run to the store? Kids throughing fits? Make It!

How to Make Ice Cream in a Bag

I have fond memories of me being a super blond , short, nearly the only white girl in my kindergarten class, shaking a plastic bag, tossing it back and forth with my classmates. The freezing cold ice gliding across my freakled skin. Then those excited eyes, screaming for ice cream, around me. I join in the off tune corus. Our teacher pleads us to quite down and our lips zip tight. We listen with bold eyes how this really works. Kids fidget, and then the teachers end her speaking with pasar bien. Meaning enjoy in spanish. The teaching assistant passes out the plastic bag to each child. Each has a name written in colorful shades of sharpie. We are handed spoons and then we eat. It is delicious! A wee bit salty, but still sweet. I have chocolate 'ice cream' that looks more like chocolate soup.

So I hope you take time to make this with your kids/siblings/ or for yourself. Just make it! Today I made it with my siblings Amanda, and Matt. We shook up the bag on the trampoline, and enjoyed it outside. It was very yummy! We used Ovaltine Malt mix instead of coca powder, it tasted more like the real stuff.
